So yesterday on the train to and from work I read all of Snuff by Palahniuk. I think this is one of those pop culture things where I'm too filthy-minded myself to properly appreciate it? I'm sure it's very revolting and transgressive and grotesque to read for normal people, but I was just like 'oh, that's vaguely interesting to know.'

I mean, yesterday I sold a story to an anthology of gay male erotica, and when I discussed international political activism with friends over email my contribution was "JULIAN LET'S LARP SERENITY TOGETHER. YOU CAN BE THE GENIUS HACKER WHO KNOWS YOU CAN'T STOP THE SIGNAL AND I WILL BE YOUR SEX ROBOT."

So yes. I cannot interrogate Palahniuk from the right perspective, alas.

Isn't moral anarchy kind of the point?
