Soundwave Revolution tickets

Soundwave Revolution have screwed up my order and sent me four tickets (and charged my credit card for four tickets) to the Melbourne date, rather than the two I asked for.

I know from previous experience that trying to track down a phone number for anyone involved with the festival is an exercise in absurdity, so I imagine that attempting to get a refund would be double-double absurd with a side helping of absurd. Therefore, I'm going to take the path of least resistance and simply try to sell the spare tickets myself.

The show date is Friday the 30th of September, and the tickets are $166.00 each and there are two available. Which means you're already saving the $5.50 processing fee and whatever postage charges would've come along with buying them from Ticketek, plus you'll have an excuse to meet up and hang out with my fabulous self.

Plus, like, there are a bunch of amazing bands appearing, like HOLE and PANIC AT THE DISCO and THURSDAY and THE USED and the Damned Things and Van Halen and Alice Cooper and seriously, Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith and Geoff Rickly and Bert McCracken and Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley all in the same place, which is the same place that Courtney Love will be, everything is beautiful and nothing hurts.

If you get a ticket and you're coming from out of town, there's crash-space at my flat, too, though I'm just warning that you may be required to sleep under the watchful gaze of my Social Network poster.

I can give you a maybe for one ticket? (Though ABSOLUTELY if anyone can say yes immediately please please go with them.) Because I haven't decided between Sydney or Melbourne yet, and I haven't gotten to thinking about it properly yet. Gonna give myself another week or two to check flights etc, because it's right in the middle of Plastic Waka Festival (TM Wellington fangirls) which means flights might be sufficiently awful as to rob me of Panic. :( But if any way of shifting either/both turns up before then I am sure I will be able to sort myself out later if necessary.

Also oyyyy soundwave. How are they so comprehensively fail in so many ways?

oooooo! I'm not going to Sydney (I went to the 2010 Soundwave there and it was literally the worst-run festival I have ever been to ever, and THAT IS SAYING A LOT) but I'd love to see you if you're in the country. Let me know if you work stuff out and decide to come. :D

I'm not going to lie, I'm basically praying for sideshows because I've been saying I'm too old and cranky for festivals since, um. 2002. *facepalm* Thus the lack of decision. And yeah, I remember hearing BAD BAD things about Soundwave in Sydney especially, it's just Sydney is frequently also a cheaper (as well as 40 min shorter) plane ride. Heh. I will absolutely let you know! And would love to see you, too, since we've just missed each other the last couple times.

This is why it's hard to offload the tickets, ahaha -- everyone who might've once bought them off me is I ONLY GO TO SIDESHOWS now. It's all good, just lemme know when you know. And you're welcome to bunk at mine in Melb, obviously.

You can have a mate's rates of $150 for the ticket, by the way. Not saying that to pressure you! I promise I will remain inordinately fond of you even if you decline. But since I know money's tight all around, I figured I'd help out a weebit.

Oh, dude, seriously, if I wind up able to take your ticket I will pay you back in full. There's no reason you should take a loss on it! And I'd far rather screw soundwave/airlines out of money than one of my friends. <333
